Srinagar: A 30-year-old man drowned in a stream in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal, official sources said here on Friday.

They said one Latif Ahmad Ganie drowned while taking a bath on Thursday in a stream in Fateh Pura, Ganderbal.

“Other people present at the spot also jumped into the stream, but could not save him,” they said.
They said the body of the man was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.
