Sopore: Police on Thursday arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from there possession in Sopore sub division of Baramulla district.

Police had laid naka at Batpora Crossing road on 15 August, three persons were intercepted and during checking 31 bottles of Syscodine, Onerex and 104 Capsules of SPASMOPROXVYON PLUS were recovered from their possession.

The accused were identified as Aamir Akbar Mir S/O Mohammad Akbar Mir R/O Mumkak Sopore, Taufeeq Ahmad Lone S/O Ghulam Mohammad Lone R/O Khamvyar Pattan and Tauqeed Ahmad  S/O Abdul Jabbar Rather R/O Khamvyar Pattan.

“All three accused were arrested on spot and in this instant Case FIR No. 227/2018 U/S 8/22  NDPS Act stands registered in police station sopore and further investigation has taken up,” Police said.
