Srinagar: Youth president of Jammu and kashmir Peoples Democratic Party Waheed ul Rehman Parra was Monday evening fired upon in Budgam district however he escaped unharmed.

Sources close to Parra confirmed that the incident happened at Handjan area of Budgam area at around 7:20 pm.

“Unknown Gunmen fired volley of bullets towards his Bolero vehicle,” he said, claiming that almost five gun shots were heard.

Parra, according to sources, was returning from the area when his escort came under fire.

SHO Budgam Rafi Shah confirmed the incident and said that they have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been launched.
