Congress members stage walkout in LS demanding JPC probe in Rafale deal

New Delhi: The principal Opposition Congress staged walkout in the Lok Sabha on Friday demanding that a Joint Parliamentary Committee be constituted to probe into the Rafale deal between India and France. 

Congress members, including Deepender Singh Hooda, Sushmita Dev, Sunil Jakhar, Ravneet Singh and K C Venugopal trooped into the Well raising anti-government slogans.

Party floor leader Mallikarjun Kharge was up on his feet trying to make his point while his party colleagues raised slogans and waived placards reading ‘Classified information, Secret corruption’ and ‘We demand JPC probe in Rafale deal’.

Congress members also raised slogans as the Zero Hour proceedings went on. Congress MP from Gurdaspur Sunil Jakhar waived paper-made plane.

Congress members led by Sonia Gandhi and Mr Kharge later staged walkout in protest.
