Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested 26 forest smugglers in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
A police officer said that after following various leads, police was able to arrest 26 smugglers, who illegally cutting trees in Rampur forest area and smuggling it to different parts of the valley.

“General public thanked and appreciated the work of police,” he said, adding police have registered a case and initiated investigation to nab other people involved in the crime.

He said the incidents of smuggling is going to go down after this crackdown.
