Train service to remain suspended in South Kashmir: Officials

Srinagar: Authorities on Sunday suspended train service between Srinagar and Banihal amid fears of protests against the killing of three militants in a gunfight in Kulgam district.

No train will chug on Srinagar-Banihal line but trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam to Baramulla in north Kashmir as per schedule.

The decision, official sources said have been taken in view of possible protests against the killing of three unknown militants in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district early Sunday morning. (UNI)
