Kashmir shuts ahead of JRL strike call

Srinagar: Ahead of strike call by Joint Resistance Leadership a complete shutdown is being observed across the Valley against the killing of civilians by the government forces.

All shops, offices, educational institutes, petrol pumps, business establishments remained closed while as private transport could be seen plying on roads.

The shutdown called by JRL against the alleged bloodshed and atrocities by the government forces, also witnessed thin attendance of employees in the government offices.

Meanwhile tight security measures have been put in place in most parts of this capital city to foil any protests against the civilian killings.

Meanwhile, reports of shutdown have also been received from other major towns of the Valley.

Pertinently train services have also been suspended for today.
