Srinagar: At least twenty youth were injured during clashes with the government forces in Kundalan village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Reports said that soon after the encounter broke out between militants and government forces, youths took to streets and hurled rocks at the forces deployed in the village following a gunfight.
The forces retiliated by firing live ammunition, pellets and tear gas to disperse the protesters .
Hospital sources said that one of them had a bullet injury in his leg.
He was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla while the three others were referred to SMHS hospital for specialized treatment,” he said.
Meanwhile, the exchange of fire between the militants and the forces is on between the militants and the forces.
Reports also said that two militants were killed in gunfight.
