Srinagar : A six century old chinar tree was uprooted on Tuesday evening inside the Shalimar garden in Srinagar after heavy winds hit Central Kashmir.

Reports said strong winds in evening swept through Shalimar Garden which led to uprooting of six centuries-old Chinar trees there.

They said gusty winds on Tuesday uprooted six Chinar trees inside Shalimar Mughal garden which included the six century old tree.
