Srinagar :Following incessant rain in Kashmir valley the irrigation and Flood control department on Friday advised the residents living along tributaries of south Kashmir to remain vigilant during day and night to avoid any sudden flood damages.

In a statement issued to the press,the department said that in view of precipitation and rise in water levels the habitations living alongside tributaries of South Kashmir especially Vishow Nallah where the water level reached to 7.67m  are advised to remain vigilant.

Incessant rains have been lashing Kashmi valley since Thursday resulting in increased water levels at different places. The rising water levels has created panic among the masses, especially those who live along the banks of River Jhelum.
