Srinagar: A 65-year-old woman was injured on Wednesday  in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, reports said.

Reports said that woman identified as Makhan Bi, a resident of Noorkot village of Degwar, was near the border fencing when some of her animals strayed and triggered a landmine explosion last evening, a police official said.

Reports said that  the woman,  was trying to bring back her animals, and  was injured in the explosion.

She was later admitted to a hospital
