Train services resume in Kashmir

Srinagar: Train services resumed in Kashmir valley after remaining suspended on Saturday as a precautionary measure after four militants were killed in an encounter with government forces  in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

The service was resumed  on Friday after remaining suspended on Thursday for security reasons in the valley.

This was the seventh time, second in Governor rule, train service was suspended partially or fully in the valley this month.

Reports said that trains are running as per schedule since morning on Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla, in north Kashmir track.

However  train will not run on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal.
