Governor’s advisor directs police to provide assistance to devotees during Yatra

SRINAGAR: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar and Chief Secretary B.V.R Subramanyam on Saturday directed police to provide assistance and help to the devotees during the upcoming Yatra.

Subrahmanyam during an introductory meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Police Department  stressed upon the officers of police to provide all the help and assistance to the devotees.

He also asked the officers to work in a coordinated manner to make their Yatra hassle free.

On the occasion, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir), Swayam Prakash Pani presented a comprehensive PowerPoint Presentation regarding the various arrangements being put in place by the department during the Amarnath Yatra.

Kumar appreciated the efforts of the JK Police to ensure a peaceful environment in the state besides fighting various social menaces.

He directed the officers of various security agencies to put in coordinated efforts and work in tandem to ensure smooth and peaceful yatra.

Chairmen PHC, Special DGP Headquarters, DGP Prisons, ADGP Armed, Director Vigilance, ADGP CID, ADGP Security, IGP Telcom, IGP Tech, PHQ, IGP Armed, IGP Personnel PHQ, IGP Security, Director SSG, IGP Crime, IGP HQ’s, IGP CIV PHQ, IGP Kashmir Zone and IGP Traffic were also present in the meeting.

IGP Jammu also joined the meeting via video conferencing.
