Srinagar: At least three militants are said to be trapped as gunfight rages in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district on Friday morning between government forces and militants, reports said.

Reports said that on a specific information army and SOG launched search operation in Srigufwara area.

As such the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot and the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter.

Reports said that contact has been established and intermittent exchange of firing is on.
