Yoga, a gift from India to the world- PM Modi

Delhi: International Yoga Day is being observed on June 21 every year, after United Nations adopted India’s proposal in 2014.

This year, the national event for International Yoga Day was held at Dehradun’s Forest Research Institute where Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated.

Speaking at the event, Modi highlighted the importance of yoga, a gift from India to the world.

He said, yoga has the perfect solution to the problems we face, either as individuals or in our society. “Yoga is beautiful because it is ancient yet modern,” he said.

Events are planned across the country, including Rajpath, where as many as 15,000 people are taking part in the mass yoga session headed by Union Minister Harsh Vardhan.
