Srinagar:A spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Soura area of Srinagar  following news of youth being critical spread in the area.

Reports said that shopkeepers downed their shutters and traffic plying on vehicle is close to minimal in the area.

A 24-year-old Abdul Majeed Dar belonging to Anchar area of Soura Srinagar is said to be critical after pellets hit him during clashes in the area.

Medical Superintendent of Sher Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences told The Kashmir Press that Dar’s condition was critical and that he is on a ventilator.

Reports said the situation in Soura and adjoining areas is tense.

Meanwhile youth are gathering outside the hospital, reports said
