Srinagar :A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Anantnag District following the killing of one Sheraz Ahmad of Brakpora Anantnag .
Reports said that shops and business establishments in the area remained shut, while only little private traffic was seen plying on the roads.
Sheraz Ahmad was allegedly killed by government forces after protests broke out in Anantnag’s Janglat mandi area.
According to the locals Sheraz Ahmad received pellet injuries during clashes with government forces that erupted following Eid prayers and succumbed to his injuries in a hospital at Srinagar.
Police had however claimed that the 34-year-old Sheeraz Ahmed was killed in a hand grenade explosion in Anantnag.
