Afghanistan find it hard to compete against India in a historic test match in Bangalore

Bangalore: In their historic test match appearance, Afghanistan are struggling against the world’s number one ranked side India as openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay continued with their merry ways to take their side to 158/0 in the first session of the Bangalore test.

India after winning the toss chose to bat first.

Southpaw Dhawan scored his second fastest test century and quickly moved to 104* from 91 balls in the first session while his partner Vijay is unbeaten on 41*.

It was Dhawan’s seventh test match century overall.

Afghanistan’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan found the going tough in the test format as he was taken to the cleaners by India’s opening pair.

Dhawan was very harsh against Khan, as the latter conceded 51 runs from his first seven overs.

After this test match against Afghanistan, India will travel to England for a long series
