At least two policemen were killed and six other troopers injured after militants launched pre-dawn attacks in Pulwama and Anantnag districts on Tuesday. They also snatched weapons of the slain policemen.

Reports said that said that a group of militants opened fire upon the police post at Takiya Wagam resulting in on the spot death of two security guards and injury to another.

The incident took place just opposite Government Degree College Pulwama.

The militants after carrying out the attack decamped with two service rifles from the slain cops and fled away , reports said
