In a major relief to the families of those killed in cross border violence, the ministry of home affairs MHA on Friday decided to let go conditions that were required to get the compensation for the families of those who lose their kith or kin in the cross border violence, reports said

The compensation that involves Rs 5 Lakhs will now be directly credited to the account of next of Kin and all conditions relating to fixed deposit have been removed
Earlier in 2015 the MHA had decided that victims of ceasefire violations by Pakistan would get 5 lakh compensation from the Central government over and above what the state government already paid.
