Secretary School  Education Farooq Ahmed Shah, Sunday  clarified that School Education Department had not announced summer vacations for schools in Kashmir and winter zone areas of Jammu division.

Shah said that news reports about summer vacations for schools in Kashmir valley and winter zone areas of Jammu division were ‘totally baseless’, “no summer vacations has been announced for schools in Kashmir valley and winter zone areas of Jammu division,” Shah was quoted as saying to media

He added that some people were  spreading rumors on WhatsApp groups and social media., “ The decision whenever taken by government will be announced through print and electronic media at the appropriate time.” He added
