Home Minister Rajnath Singh is planning an Eid visit to review security situation and take a decision on extension in ‘ceasefire’ in Jammu and Kashmir, The Economic Times reported .
Singh is going to take decision on the extension of halt in operations besides taking stock of arrangements for Amarnath Yatra, which begins on June 28.
According to the report Singh is likely to arrive around June 10 for two days.
During the visit, singh will convene review meetings with the officials of Army, police, paramilitary forces and the government functionaries to assess the ground situation, the report said.
Rajnath Singh had recently stated that New Delhi was ready to hold dialogue with Hurriyat and Pakistan, to which Hurriyat leaders responded by asking for more clarity over the initiative.
