Man murders his fiance in North Kashmir

A man has been arrested in Mohra Village of north Kashmir’s Uri area for killing her fiance.

Her Dead body  was recovered from Mohra village.

The police in a statement said that the girl was missing since May 10, 2018, and family had lodged missing/abduction report on May 11, 2018, in Police Station Baramulla.

Case FIR No 79/2108 U/S 366,109 RPC was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation was taken up, Police added.

The spokesman said that in the course of an investigation, the fiancé of the missing girl emerged to be the prime suspect who was apprehended and during questioning confessed the murder and led the police team to Mohra, Uri and upon his instance, the dead body of the missing girl was recovered.

“The girl had reportedly gone to meet her fiancé (accused ) with whom she was formally engaged. Nikah ceremony had already taken place and #wedding dates were being finalized by the families,” said police.

“Initial investigation suggests that motive behind the murder was Love triangle as the accused was allegedly having affair with some other lady which is being further probed,” the police spokesman said.
