The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) Advocate Zahid Ali has said that the party’s district president  Srinagar Bashir Ahmed Lone has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA).

Lone was  detained by the police under unlawful acts for delivering hate speech during the funeral prayers of slain professor, Dr Mohmmad Rafi Bhat.

Bhat was was killed in a gun battle at Shopian last week.

Under PSA, a person can be subjected to arbitrary arrest for three months.
