Clashes were in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar on Tuesday after the government forces allegedly tried to enter the local mosque and stop anthems being played on loudspeakers.

Reports said that the forces in an attempt tried to enter the local mosque and stop the “taranas” being played from its loud speakers.

However, locals showed resistance and did not allow them to enter the mosque resulting to clashes between them.

Meanwhile shutdown is being observed across the valley over the civilian, militant killings in shopian district.

Six civilians, and five militants were killed by government forces.
