The Swedish Panel this year has said that it will not name the nobel laureate in litreature this year.

According to the media reports, the decision was taken after many members of  the panel were found embroiled in the sexual abuse scandal and the infighting within the group.

The panel stated that the award will remain postponed for the period of one year only. Since the academy is not involved in deciding other awards, Nobel prizes in other fields will remain unaffected.

The observers are regarding the postponement of the award as extraordinary as it as such developments rarely takes place.
