JRL, Hizb condemns civilian Killings in Baramulla

‘Killings on party or political affiliations is inhuman’

JRL or Joint Resistance Leadership Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik have condmened the killing of three youth from old town Baramulla.

In a statement, the JRL stated that time and again people are being killed in mysterious circumstances and no one knows who have orchestrated the killings.

“While the state authorities conveniently blame armed youth the militant organisation in fact condemn the killings and many time blame state agencies. In the process the culprits never get identified,” JRL said.

JRL said the three killings in Baramulla was a matter of serious concern and needs to be investigated. They appealed the UN to take note of the mysterious killings.

The leadership reiterated that any killing on grounds of political or party affiliations is inhuman and un-Islamic and unacceptable to people and leadership of Kashmir.

The militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen also condemned the civilian killings in Baramulla.

In a tele-statement to local news agency, Hizb operational spokesman, Burhan-ud-din said that Deputy Supreme commander, Saifullah Khalid and field operational commander Muhammad bin Qasim strongly condemned the killing of three civilians by ‘unknown gunmen’.

“It is India who is killing Kashmiris,” he said, appealing people to help them in identifying those who are behind such acts.

On Monday evening, three youths were shot dread by unknown gunmen in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The police claimed that militants killed the youth, but did not provide any motive as to why they did so.
