South Kashmir: Gunfight breaks out in Kulgam, 2nd of the day in progress in South Kashmir

Srinagar, December 29: Encounter broke out between militants and government forces in Mirhama area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Reports said  that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Mirhama.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.

A senior police officer confirmed about exchange of firing between militants and govt forces.

Pertinently, earlier encounter broke out in Doru area of Anantnag. So far two armymen and a cop was injured when last report came in.
