Jammu, Sept 20: Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an attempt to smuggle 62kgs of heroine worth crores of rupees besides two pistols into in Arnia area in Jammu along the International Border from Pakistan, Director General of Police Dilbag Singh said on Sunday.

The top police officer of the J&K said that a suspected team of intruders came from Pakistan to the fence on IB and were fired upon. “They ran back after throwing a consignment there which was recovered during the search this morning,” he said, adding, “The consignment turned out to be 62kgs of heroine and 2 pistols.” (GNS)
