Srinagar: The School Education Department on Wednesday clarified that there would be no extension in summer vacations in the valley schools.

The clarification comes amid rumours and fake orders being circulated on social networking sites over the extension of summer vacations.

A senior official of the School Education Department ruled out the extension in the summer vacations and said that valley schools will resume classwork from Thursday.

The department had announced the summer vacation from July 15-24.
