Unknown persons try to set ablaze Panchayat ghars at 3 places in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Unknown persons during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday set on fire three Panchayat houses in twin southern Kashmir districts of Pulwama and Shopian.

Reports reaching The Kashmir Press said that unidentified men torched a Panchayat Ghar in Nazneenpora village of Shopian district. However, the quick response of police and fire services department prevented the fire from engulfing the who building thereby restricting the damages to minimum.

A police official said that the Police have registered a case and started investigations.

Meanwhile a similar attempt to set ablaze Panchayat Ghar was made in Nagbal village of Tral in Pulwama district. 

The building suffered partial damages in the incident.

A similar attempt to torch Panchayat house was also made in Drabgam area of the Pulwama district.
