Handwara, Sep 18: A residential house and a cow-shed were gutted in a fire incident in Qaziabad area in north-Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday afternoon, reports and family said.
A single-storey house belonging to Ghulam Hassan Mir son of Mohammad Rajab Mir in Mandigam village was gutted in the fire incident, reports said.
Despite efforts made to douse off the flames, the fire could not be immediately contained causing damage to a cow-shed also, the family said.
Mugli Begum – the house-owner’s wife – as per a family member received minor burn injuries in the incident. gns
