“Geelani’s shutdown call on 8 and 13 July fake”: Police, files case against individuals who circulated it

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday termed shutdown call given by Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani ‘take and  registered a case under UAPA against individuals who circulated it. 

Taking to their Twitter handle, police said, “As per family sources of SAS Geelani, the tweet is fake and issued by someone from Pakistan.Police is taking action against those who are circulating it to instigate violence. Case FIR under relevant sections of ULA(P)stands registered in Police station Budgam.”
