Shopian, Jan 7: Joint Forces conducted door-to-door search operation amid biting cold in South Kashmir’s Shopian locality on Thursday.
Local sources said that soldiers cordoned off Gadda Mohalla locality of south Kashmir’s Shopian town and conducted search operation.
They said that houses were searched and identity cards of the inhabitants were thoroughly checked, however, no arrests were made.
A local said that amid biting cold and accumulated snow, people were asked to come out from their houses.
The operation was called off after nothing suspicious was found in the locality. (KNT)
