Srinagar: Government forces Thursday evening laid siege to Mohanpora village of Shopian district in south Kashmir.

Sources said that a joint team of government forces including Army’s 44RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG and paramilitary CRPF launched a cordon and search operation after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
They said that the forces are conducting door to door searches in the village.
