Srinagar: The railway authorities on Friday suspended train services from Srinagar to Banihal and vice versa following apprehensions about the disturbances in “law and order” situation following a gunfight in Shopian district of south Kashmir, reports said.

Reports said that the railway authorities termed the suspension of train service as a precautionary step.

Sources said that two local militants have been killed and an army man was injured in the ongoing encounter at Aarkhara village of Shopian.
