Srinagar: The supporters of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday thrashed a National Conference (NC) polling agent at Bejbehara during the first phase of three phased Anantnag parliamentary constituency polls.
Reports said that the National Conference agent was thrashed for alleged bogus voting. thrashed after they observed bogus voting and the beating stopped after the on duty security forces personnel intervened.
Bijbehara, the hometown of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti witnessed a very bleak voter turnout, lowest in the first phase on Tuesday. The total votes cast in the town were 1589 till 3pm.
