Shopian: Government forces on Monday morning laid a siege to Awend Rawalpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Following inputs about the presence of militants in the area, reports said, that a joint team of government forces including 34 RR, paramilitary CRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police launched searches in the area.
They said that heavy contingents of forces are conducting door to door searches in the area.
