Srinagar: Amid intense pro-freedom slogans thousands of people Saturday participated in the funeral prayers of slain deputy chief of Ansar Ghazwatul Hind militant Sualeh Aakhoon in Arampora village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama.

Witnesses said that thousands of people from different villages of Tral township and other adjoining areas thronged the native village of Aakhoon and raised pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and pro-Islam slogans.

Akhoon, along with five other AGH militants was killed in a gunfight in Armpora village Saturday morning.
