Srinagar: The residents of Gousia Colony in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday held a protest demonstration against the failure of Power Development Department to get their electricity transformer repaired.
The residents blocked Pulwama Srinagar road near Degree College Pulwama and raised slogans against the Power Development Department.
The locals said that the electric transformer feeding electricity to dozens of households at Gousia Colony was damaged last week after a truck collided with it causing massive damage to it.
They said that despite the fact that one week has already passed the department is yet to take the transformer for repairing.
