Srinagar: Top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Naveed Jatt has been killed in a gunfight with government forces in Chattergam area of Budgam district in central Kashmir.
Police sources confirmed that Naveed has been killed in the gunfight along with a local militant.
Jatt was an A++ category militant who escaped from the SMHS hospital in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar.
Police in its chargesheet in the killing of journalist Shujaat Bukhari had named Naveed Jatt as one of the suspects.
