Srinagar: Government forces Tuesday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Kuta Sthri village of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports said that a joint team of Army and special operations group (SOG) of J&K police cordoned off the village in Sumlar area of the district early Tuesday morning. Soon after, they said, the forces started a search operation. “The operation was launched after inputs about presence of militants in the village,” they said.
The search operation was underway when this report was filed.
