Srinagar: Militants triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to target government force vehicle in south Kashmir district of Shopian in the wee hours of Sunday, official sources said.


They said militants detonated an IED when a security force vehicle was passing Heff area in Shopian. The blast followed by heavy firing, they said adding there was no report of any loss of life or damage.


Forces immediately sealed the area and started Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), they said.
