Alert PSO of BJP leader foils militant attack in south Kashmir

Srinagar: Alert Personnel Security Officer (PSO) of a Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader foiled a militant attack in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.

However, a police spokesman in a tweet on official twitter account of Jammu and Kashmir police said “Guard post attacked in Pulwama. Alert Policemen successfully repulsed a weapon snatching bid. More details to follow “.

However, sources said militants fired at the house of BJP General secretary Gulzar Ahmad Nengroo at village Pirchoo, Pulwama Sunday evening. The PSO of BJP leader also retaliated but the militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness. There was no report of any loss of life in the attack, they added.

A massive operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the attack,they added. (UNI)
