Srinagar:Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Wednesday  claimed that the missing policeman from Police Station Pampore had joined their ranks.

Pertinently, a Special Police Officer (SPO) Irfan Ahmad Dar posted at police station Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district went missing on Tuesday along with his service rifle AK-47 rifle.

Burhanuddin, the Hizb Operational Spokesperson was quoted as saying by a news gathering agency Current News service  that  Dar had joined the outfit and was safe and sound.

Dar, who hails from Kakapora Pulwama had been missing since last evening and a search operation to l\nab him was launched by the police.

“We salute this policeman and appeal all other cops to follow suit in the interest of Freedom Struggle and common people of Kashmir,” Burhanuddin was quoted a saying to  Current News Service.

Burhanudding was quoted as saying to Current News Service  that the joining of cops into militant ranks vindicated their stand that whole population of Kashmir irrespective of their caste, colour and creed wanted to put an end to Indian rule in Jammu and Kashmir.

Burhanuddin quoted Operation Field Command Muhammad Bin as having said that days are not far when even top police officials will join them.
