Srinagar: Train services has been resumed in Kashmir valley on Monday a day after it was suspended on Sunday.

Train service has been resumed and all trains are running as per schedule in the Kashmir valley, sources said.

“We have received a fresh advisory from police on Sunday to resume the train service in the valley,” he said adding “earlier on Saturday evening we were directed to suspend train service on Sunday.”

He said all train will chug as per schedule on Srinagar-Badgam and Baramulla track today. Similarly trains will run on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund to Banihal in Jammu region as per schedule, he added.

He said the service was suspended “for the safety and security of passengers and rail officials”. (UNI)
