Srinagar: The gunfight between government forces and militants continue on 5th straight day on Wednesday in Panar forest of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The search operations were started on Saturday night which turned into gunfight.

Following the gunfight, the special commandos and paratroopers were called and were pressed on job. However, there has been no end to the gunfire between the militants and forces yet.

Though there was a lull in the firing on Tuesday,however, massive exchange of fire was reported during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sources earlier had said that a group of militants was moving through the forests when they encountered with army patrol on Saturday night.
