Massive clashes between government forces and youth erupted soon after Friday prayers at Jamia Masjid Anantnag, reports said
Reports said soon after culmination of Friday prayers a large number of youth took to streets to protests against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem and Palestine. The last Friday of Ramadhan is observed every year as Al-Quds Day across Muslim world in support of Palestinian cause and freedom.
Reports said that despite deployment of forces and enhanced restrictions around Jamia Masjid and its parts clashes erupted between deployed forces and youth soon after clumination of friday prayers.
Police used force to disperse off protests.
However,clashes are still going on in the area.
