Kulgam family protests in Srinagar, demands mortal remains of slain militant

The family members and relatives of slain militant Mudassir Ahmad Bhat killed in an encounter by Army at  Karnah border on 25th May Tuesday held a protest demonstration at  press enclave and demanded the mortal remains  of the slain.

The family said that they were unaware their son was killed at the border and that they came to know about his demise through a Facebook page, “We were unaware about the encounter in which Mudassir was also killed. We came to know about it after a Facebook page updated about it. We have seen his photo on the Facebook page,” they said.

“We approached the authorities however nothing has been done so far,” they said.

Army on May 25 had  claimed that they had  killed  “five foreign infiltrators” along the LoC in north Kashmir. Later two families of south Kashmir, one from Kulgam and another from Pulwama claimed that their kin have been killed in the said gunfight.
