At least four CRPF persons and three civilians were injured in south Kashmir’s Pulwama after suspected militants hurled a grenade on deployment at Tahab chowk on Monday, sources said.

Sources said that the suspected militants hurled grenade on Police and CRPF deployment at Tahab Chowk Pulwama injuring seven in all.

Police and CRPF resorted to aerial firing after the blast, witnesses said.

The injured CRPF soldiers have been identified as Ct Anuj Patik, Ct. Sumit Kumar, Ct Sunbir Singh and Ct Suresh Kumar.
Three civilians injured in the blast include a woman namely Shugufta Jan, 27, R/o Litter, girl Fiza Jan, 12, R/o Washbugh Pulwama and Arshid Ahmad R/O Pathan.

SSP Pulwama Mohammed Aslam Choudhary confirmed the blast and said at least seven persona sustained injuries.

“However, all are stable,” he said.
